Capt. JTKirk,

I have no information that is any different from what you have available to you.

A note on the merger speculation: One could have 'smelled the scent of a merger' for almost two years. Is this week any different? I don't know, but I don't think so.

Volume is up, but for every buyer there is a seller.

The stock price has gone nowhere during the course of the week and is it certainly far below the pre-Pre-Announcement levels.

Has this management adjusted their expectations downward, or are they still operating under the premise that they should receive a premium based on a low-teens stock price?

What do I think this company is worth in a buyout? CFMT is probably worth some premium to the quoted price.

In the absence of a buyout, however, I think the Market is doing a fair job evaluating CFMT's prospects. This company has its work cut out for it if it is to reap any of the spoils of this extremely powerful (albeit, rapidly aging) SemiCap cycle.

As a former, long-suffering CFMT shareholder (and I emphasize former), I hope that CFMT shareholders ultimately get rewarded for their patience.

I was once a believer, but I have lost faith. Good luck and stay away from using leverage in this incredibly speculative and dangerous environment.
