1915 GMT [DOW JONES] GOLDMAN SACHS WAS AN AGGRESSIVE BUYER OF JUN NASDAQS, BUYING 1K IN AFTERNOON TRADING. DESPITE THAT, THE CONTRACT WAS EXPECTED TO CLOSE WEAKER STILL LIKE THE REST OF THE EQUITY INDEX FUTURES. "THE DOW IS DRAGGING THEM ALL DOWN," SAID ONE TRADER. GOLDMAN WAS ALSO HEARD BUYING JUN S&PS, BUT ON A SMALLER SCALE. (ZHS)

1905 GMT [DOW JONES] THE JUN S&PS, WHICH EARLIER HAD A SHORT-LIVED RALLY ON THIN VOLUME, ARE UNDER SELLING PRESSURE, ONE FLOOR TRADERS CALLING THE RALLY "ARTIFICIAL." ONE TRADER SAID, "THEY SEEM TO WANT TO SELL IT OFF ON FRIDAY." THE CONTRACT WAS STILL FIDDLING EVER SINCE THE CORE PPI FIGURES NEGATIVELY AFFECTED THE BOND MARKET. (ZHS)

Hi Peace,

Right... I think it's a waiting game here... the DOW is clearly the weakest and the NAZ is the strongest... they've been trying to break them, but if they won't break, then they'll rally... and it could take several more days of convincing..... (or at any time)...<g>
