Just bought in, have been watching for sometime and I think today is the bottom of the panic selling, if not then it is near. Next week should bring some news either good or bad. If it is bad then the drop is built in, if good then there will be a large upswing. Opinions?

This is different. Today's movement was related to speculation about WHY the CFO did not attend a presentation. The company should have said something about WHY. 1.6 billion is market cap was lost. The shareholders have a right to know. Being away on "personal business" is not enough information. They should have sent Ed instead or said something that stated the nature of the personal business (funeral, health, or whatever in general terms) and if divulging that was inappropriate, to indicate that his appearance DID NOT indicate financial problems.

CTXS did comment on that run, the CFO stated during a speech that ASP revenues were not going to come into play until late 2000, and that some investors and analyst were probably getting ahead of themselves. Of course, the stock kept going as the market was on a tear. Now then, the market has been on a serious rebound and now this. This stock NEVER went up 30% and traded 65M shares in two day, WELL it did that on the downside yesterday and today. I am emphatic about that deserving some sort of comments from the company. I have been in this stock since 1996 and have hardly ever bitched...................I am NOW.

Grace:

Actually, yes. It would have been a sensible thing to do
if mgmt felt that the price was just way too rich.

So, now you have a number of investors who have a very
bitter memory of their investment in CTXS stock. If
experience can modify behavior, we got a bad thing going
here.

Please, spare me the difference between 'speculators' and
'investors,' or, of 'paper loss' v/s 'real loss' unless
you can say the whole sentence calmly in front of a mirror
first.

Dinesh
