The rumor of an earnings warning was started because the CFO did not show, big deal. I suppose that he was going to discuss sales channels and earnings with the group...no. His VP gave the same speech. Anyway, I am sure the CFO was out doing CTXS business that they could not discuss, hence the "personal reasons." Without comment, the huge volume actually lends credence to all the rumors feeding on each other.

They owe it to shareholders to make a comment on this occasion. It is totally absurd to remain quiet in light of the shit being thrown around.

Investor Relations was out of town??? A company with nearly 1/2 billion in sales only has one person to speak to investors? That's pitiful. Has the company forgotten that the people who lost 20% of their investment today aren't some unimportant group , they are the owners of the company , and a lot of them are upset. I know management isn't responsible for the short range stock action, but they owe it to stockholders, their ultimate bosses, to deal with their concerns in an efficient timely fashion. It's possible that insider ownership of only 4% is beginning to be a problem with this company. At some point insiders stop thinking of themselves as owner/managers and begin to think of themselves mostly in terms of their salary.
Despite the above, the company's business plan still appears to be on track, so I was a buyer today. That doesn't mean I'm happy with management. My CTXS holdings were enough to bring me a bit into the red today despite good market performance. Maybe CTXS considers today's action unimportant, but somehow I'm fond of seeing green totals.
