Do you have a reference for that stock ownership?

I'm not aware of any.

I agree that any investment in RMBS stock, now or when they exercise those options, is dwarfed by the investment they have already made in their own technology that will utilize it and is insignificant in comparison.

I believe Intel's decision to utilize this technology has convinced them that it will maximize the sales of their own technology - that is, future chip sales.

The underlying incentive for Intel isn't to make money on the RMBS stock they own, it's to maximize the sale of their own manufactured products.

Getting involved with Rambus technology was a strategic decision. The tactical implementation of that strategy is only just beginning.
