That's interesting, and might be effective if there are more than two significant parties. Wouldn't work well for us.

The Gore/Bush thing is so odd in so many ways. So odd that Gore tries to pitch himself as an environmentalist while holding big blocks of OXY. So odd that Bush can try to portray himself as fiscally responsible without showing the slightest inclination to inquire into what happened to the $60 billion already spent on SDI, and what will probably happen to the future tens of billions that will have to be spent before we can even pretend that it's effective. Not to mention the increases that will have to be fed to the rest of the defense budget to back the Wolfowitz/Perle/Cheney foreign policy....

Not to mention, of course, the spectacle of these two creatures of the political elite, born and raised sucking the platinum teat, trying to pass themselves off as men of the people....
