<<Twice--- it did it twice- two separate big storms...and there's another coming. Oh I love storms.>>

If you have stock or crops they aren't as much fun. I remember in college a twister going by 1/4 mile away. The low pressure blowing out car windows. We would jump and almost fly in the wind while watching rail cars being turned over. It wasn't as much fun when we heard about people being killed and loosing homes. But you're right, a big ugly storm that doesn't kill is neat to watch.

>>I think I would hate living in the west where they don't have them. LIke in LA where Freddy lives--
the weather sounds very boring.<<

My son lives in LA now and one of the things he misses the most are the thunderstorms. He is working on a project right now for Disney World in Tokyo called "Storm Rider II" which is one of the "reality rides" where people get strapped into hydraulic seats and then participate in a "show" full of Vfx. This one is supposed to be a 747 flying through various a hurricane (sounds like fun, huh?) I think they assigned him to supervise since he was from the midwest and had lots of experience with storms....guess you never know what will come up as a resume' enhancement.
