They don't. The high power angle of this exchange has been directed at the requirements of the source of (converted) power since it would be a one-to-many "broadcast" proposition, and thus the source would need at least several hundred times the source power numbers needed by the single endpoints if it were serving the lifeline power to a cluster of several hundred end consumers of said power.

To minimize this source power requirement, the endpoints could be something like this reduced power consumption alternative mentioned in the last paragraph of this post from 6/7:
