Hi Rich, I've had fun the past couple of day doing "investment research" playing Countdown. I registered a nickname early on but couldn't play because I was still using Netscape 3 on my four year old laptop. Thanks for reminding me to try it with my new laptop. I finally installed Netscape 4.7 on the old one so I can play from either. I've had no problems on either computer. I do wish they had remembered that not everyone automatically loads images. If they would include text with each hotspot, I would know which is Countdown or BrainBuster without having to wait for the graphics. I agree that there should be game specific chat. The lounge seems to be the only room in use and they were all playing Countdown. The players are working around a problem they shouldn't have. I just watched the chat and didn't participate since I write so slowly. I did enter and leave several rooms in succession with no problem. It would help if they indicated which rooms were in use. I realize that I was occasionally calculating how some players did on a specific question. Having the question scores posted would be nice. I wish they would show the number of the question just played. I would like to know how much of the game is left. Either I got better at focusing on how the information is presented and not moving the cursor too far or they are giving more time. I did a little better today. I noticed that there have been a few comments on the chat about not enough time at the end. Maybe if I were a better player I would be more competitive. For now I'm just enjoying playing with the target of improving my scores. Take my comments as those of a casual player. BTW, I find I crash Win98 a lot more often than I do Win95 but that may be because I've not yet learned what combinations or sequences to avoid. Maybe they have fixed what was causing you to have problems. I certainly hope so and I'm glad I escaped them so far. June
