Being a 4 bore meant it took 4 lead balls the size of the bore to weigh a pound so it would be tossing a quarter pounder. Don't know if the quarter pounder had cheese or not. I remember reading about him shooting the gun. Take 6 aspirin, support the barrel on a stick, pull trigger. Get up, take 6 more aspirin, go back to camp and rest.
