I will mention something I came across recently that has to do with the ctxs - msft relationship. In November 1999 the marketing agreement between ctxs and msft expired, therefore allowing msft to support other avenues of thin client if they chose to. They no longer were required to only support and help market ctxs products.

In light of that, I was talking with my computer consultant who is networking my entire office...his company is a ctxs reseller (or member). He stated that whenever he ordered windows2000 server for clients, the order automatically came with a trial period copy of metaframe. He said the win2000 came in one box and the metaframe in another. He said msft is pushing metaframe every way they can. The client can install and configure metaframe and run it for a few months to try it. I guess after the time is up, you either pay for codes to make it continue to run, or it just stops working.

Pretty good marketing in my opinion. Also shows that msft is hardly trying to derail ctxs.

Just some thoughts to chew on.
