Everything in those pictures is way bigger and heavier than it looks, but we only had 11 pictures to get our impression. And the dominant impression was the textures. Then the technical significance and the scale. Yes, the dominant impression is texture for sure... But I know what you mean about the weight... That's the difficult part to convey when you are just showing a photo in isolation on a page... usually needs that old "human scale" thing to put it all in perspective... Have been coming up against some of the same problems in "things" which I have photographed recently... or that I will be going out to photograph soon... Don't know how to deal with that except maybe to present it on a webpage with a "click & zoom" type of arrangement where you can view an object at a distance, then click on it to zoom in closer and closer... That's all pretty easy stuff to lay out in HTML... but you probably know that already... or you will know it soon... Trust me on this....(-:

Gaugs, I know you are a tad people shy. Me too. Now I gotta go to the grocery store now and then. Lets say I park my cart and start toward the 10' wide selection of grapefruit. Some idiot shoves it's (non gender related) cart in front of me. Gives me the "smile", the one that says I'm freaking rude but I smiled so it's ok. Not that there isn't 500 grapefruit but I'm more important than you so I get to pick from all and not share and go first. Now I can't smile back. I never can smile. Bad dentists ruined my smile. I can however draw my lips back in a sneer and growl. Low gutteral rumblings. Question- do I need to work on my people skills?

Helen did a funny today. We went to a friend's house for an impromptu play date. The four parents sat and talked over tea, and the kids got quiet somewhere in the house after a rousing round of "I chase you!" Imagine our surprise when they came back brandishing a wrapped condom each. One in a Cherry-colored pack and one in this Grape purple. "Look Daddy! Candy! Open it?" Uh, no. It's a tough chew. She also was holding a small absorbent device with a string attached. Good thing she didn't start to chew on it. On the way there we spied a man with a stroller but no shirt. "Look! That Daddy is naked!" Her grammar is getting really good. "I love eating." But not perfect. "My want popsicle, peeeze." On the way home? "Look Mommy! Two fags!" Took me a moment to see the two flags in front of a bank.
