Yes, I saw it at Fry's for 999.00, which is, flat out, absolutely an incredible amount of machinery for 1K. But I won't deal with Frys (service). I don't recommend the 73, I go to the 83 and similar. (see the critical comment link of those.) There is a lot of variation in the Mavicas. It's quasi-important to know what you're getting. The upper models like you're looking at DO NOT use floppies for interchangeable storage. This doesn't matter to pro-ams, but for students and families I think it sucks. It really creates problems. Substantial enough to obstruct free use.
