It's possible that gas prices at the wholesale level have not moved nearly as much as I have seen them increase at the retail level, and this could account for the PPI not changing as much as I would expect.

I just have a hard time believing that I am the only one seeing gas go from $1.20 to 1.65 over the last 2 months... and I live in a pretty competitive market. Everything I have heard indicates that these fuel price increases are widespread. If that's the case, the increases should show up in the PPI or CPI data, whether seasonally adjusted or not.
