Very Well Said..Franz... (I have a Moderate Speech Challenge)...and I couldn't agree with you more. :0) edit: I do think the technology is very primitive..and will be HUGE....B2B and customer service....as a means of cost cutting...especially.

The UPC - Telewest talks are very big. It's too bad resources were squandered on other things instead of pursuing the European market. However, as Jochen will testify that market wasn't ready a year ago for exploitation. Ask Jochen about what's happening there. He's knowledgeable about European misery(divine right of kings). Since DT is now fading the opportunities are rising and I'm glad to see Bell is pushing hard to pull in Chello. Thanks to Ed, Frank, and you to remind me what I already more or less knew but happily forgot. Excite today happened to be advertising it and so I thought maybe they had tweaked it into something more impressive. My hope is that you don't get microphones, bhangs, roach clips, and other paraphernalia that we've stashed away just in case the revolution returns, in order to trip on voice. I was thinking in terms of an Att initiative where a rudimentary VoIP could be hatched where it might thrive, in chat. The idea is you get a handset from Att and plug into some vacant female slot on the back of a PC. Of course, this would be declared a violation of the '96 Act by anti-profitability crusaders, but it would be a great thing to have. We could all be yelling at each other over the handset rather that typing in SI's horrible and institutionalized editor.
