Multico, re: < Doesn't it bother you that there are probably many RMBS investors
who have come to this board for information and have been frightened into selling their holdings prematurely based on unsubstantiated garbage freely posted here?>

FUD works both ways, of course. As an investor site, SI offers the opportunity to view and discuss both sides of the issues. Any post of "unsubstantiated garbage", (by either side of an issue), is typically readily attacked on this thread. On the other hand, there is a lot of valuable information that can be mined here. But it's ultimately up to the individual investor to determine the weight of the arguments when making a decision.

I think that SI's terms of use pretty much summarizes the caution any investor should use on a board like this:

You should exercise discretion and skepticism before relying on information in messages, since it may be incorrect or misleading. Members may pretend to be people that they are not. Some members may have dishonest and/or deceitful intentions or may have inaccurate information -- so beware! You should make an independent investigation before making any financial decisions, and if you rely on information posted by other members you do so solely at your own risk.

Multi,

Carl directed his derogatory remarks at the practical skills of the company's founders. This is quite different from a personal attack on a fellow poster.

Rambus is a very, very controversial company. This forum is a good opportunity for people from both sides to express their opinion. The longs should no longer assume that they have exclusive ownership of the thread.

I have never seen Carl attack anyone else on SI, in spite of the steady drumbeat of personal attacks against him.

Multi,

Doesn't it bother you that there are probably many RMBS investors who have come to this board for information and have been frightened into selling their holdings prematurely based on unsubstantiated garbage freely posted here?

If that is the case, it is unfortunate.

If what Carl is saying is true, there really is a problem for Rambus. Carl says that almost everyone besides Sony's PS2 group and Intel's Willamette group are designing for DDR.

I have not seen anyone on the thread present any information to the contrary. The projections of DRAM analysts are all over the map.

Can some of the RMBS longs do some research, and give us some information about DRDRAM designs in progress? That information would provide the comfort other longs are looking for.

Carl is a step up on you guys, and instead of providing some useful data in response, you are going after his persona.
