Fed Estimated Tax (individual returns): 2nd qtr. (4/1-5/31) payment due 6/15/00...

So fortunate that 1997 Amendments to tax code make "trader of securities" proceeds exempt from the base for estimated tax payments. No advance payments - no $3000 limit to losses, no wash sales to worry about. rule applies to most state returns as well. If you trade you should consider this status which, by the way, is unfamiliar to most tax accounting firms I consulted.
