You are missing the obvious genius in Clinton's proposal. If the government workers are not at their posts for 12 weeks every year, they will be unable (at least during those 12 weeks) to mess with our lives. Surely there must be some benefit in that.

In the private sector, if this was available, many would not take it for fear of being daddy- or mommy-tracked. In government, everyone will take it. And it won't be long until the hue and cry amongst the government employee unions begins: "We need almost 25 percent more government workers to cover for the people on leave." And that 25 percent will vote Democrat just like the existing millions of government "workers" do. This Clinton guy is smart, and that (along with his complete and udder lack of integrity) makes him dangerous.

Sheesh .....
