Why do they waste taxpayers money throwing people who commit crimes against property (esp. large corporations) in jail? From what I hear U.S. jails are filled to overflowing and Jail construction is a big growth industry.

For your conviction, I'd think restitution of the money, a punitive fine and possibly probation would be enough.

But, I hope you get out early (on good behavior)... No doubt you'll manage to survive this hardship.
