Well played by Cramer. I'd say he has just made Fox look like a bunch of buffoons.

I strongly agree with that one article saying that the media is infatuated with reporting on itself.

This whole affair proves once again that network executives are not paid to think. (If anyone ever figures out what they are paid for, please let me know). Not only is it obvious that the "policy" was made up on the spot, it is obviously unworkable. Essentially it is saying that anyone who manages money is not allowed to discuss any stock s/he likes well enough to invest in. Maybe they should have money managers on to do weather reports instead.

The irony is, they could have gotten Cramer in plenty of hot water without getting themselves in this mess. His mention of TSCM was against theStreet.com's policy. If the idiot exec had focused his attacks on this issue the whole mess could have been avoided and Cramer would still be a POW at Fox.

Let's face it, Cramer loves to do the controversial dance and part of his success and Street persona involves pissing people off, being rather brash about it, then bemoaning the whole incident for months on top of months in his publication...same MO when he spouted off about shorting WAVO on CNBC and magically has not been seen there since...loves to be a rule breaker, but in the same breath, I think the world needs more Cramer types, telling it like it is in his NY/NJ bravado and while I don't always agree with his delivery style or mechanisms, I also find him to be both refreshing and most often correct in his views...the Fox thing is/was a complete silliness in that anyone who watched the show realized that Cramer=TheStreet.Com and a tout from an obvious tout must surely not be a tout.
