Bill. I had a great weekend and didn't expect to come back to this. Most techs and internets are doing very poorly today. It looks like Citrix did us in today. As far as I can tell only the Fiber optics are doing well. Great earnings surprise by SDL.

You are right, oil prices are starting to hurt a bit. Some oil analysts are now predicting high oil prices for the next cpl of years. I guess they will be right if nothing is done about it.
I liked the article you put on where Orcl is generating some of their own power. Maybe all cos. should start doing that. At least the ones that can afford it.

Yes. I guess there should be some oil plays now with oil prices staying up there. I used to play the energy field with GLM, APA and ENE. It looks like I should have done that again. Those energy stocks, I mentioned, should be a pretty good play if things stay the way they are. ENE is a nice natural gas play and has the added feature of fiber optic. I am thinking hard about adding some of those stocks to my portfolio but those stocks have moved quite a bit, so I don't know.

I noticed that some more cautious analysts called for an upmove in the markets this morning. Even this guy from J.D.Edwards who has been getting on my nerves. Scrividas? Def. not the correct spelling. gg. Well, so much for that. It looks like we did better when he was more on the cautious side.

Here is a nice article on inflation from one of my fav. analysts, Joe the Batman. His top pick for this week is JDSU. So far so good. I guess he knew SDL would come in great.

I sure hope the market will start moving up again. I am going on a mini vacation this Friday and I want to go in peace. gg. And I don't have much time to keep an eye on this market for the rest of this week. In the words of the late Gilda Radner: There is always something.
