Edit: The experience colored my opinion of how urgent it is to stop moral monsters from producing new infant victims each year. One that will grow up to produce yet new victims... There is no pretty scenario on offer. Only one or another imperfect and pathetic one. should have read, "Victims (plural subject!) that grow up..." and "one or another imperfect, pathetic, and dangerous one. I mean, it is dangerous to let things go on as they are now; it's dangerous to open certain "social control" doors.
