Steve:

Welcome aboard. Some of us are having fun here, even though the stakes appear to never have been higher. That tends to bring out the worst of some folks (g).

Nice mumble, Steve. Would you care to give an example of the "direct software" that might take advantage of Rambus? What "OS drivers" (as opposed to "DRAM Drivers") might be missing that's causing all the geeks to miss the point of Rambus?

Cheers, Dan.

Steve,

Following up on your logic that Sony copied their Emotion engine from Intel, is it safe to say that Rambus copied their DRAM from one of the other manufacturers?

After all, DRAM is DRAM, microprocessors are microprocessors.

MIPS has a design site in Copenhagen. Perhaps you should stop by there next week, and see if you can convince them that they copied their design from Intel.
