IMHO it's more of an indication that the PIII core isn't competitive with Duron or Athlon. Kind of like AMD dropping the K6 core because it wasn't competitive with PIII. It may mean that those roadmaps showing 1.2GHZ PIIIs for next year are going to have to be changed.

So you think that a normal yield for Willamette speed grades would range from 700 MHz to 2.0 GHz....that seems like a pretty big spread. Is that even possible?
