aj, on this url they have a list of books - ourworld.compuserve.com ... you might consider telling them of a book called 'The Lawless Roads' by the english author Graham Greene .. it's the true story of his trip to Chiapas in 1938, ostensibly to explore the ruins of Palenque, but really to check out the state of the church following the persecution by the Calles and subsequent governments [he was a strong catholic, at least early on] ... the problem is, it's out of print, or was last time i asked around five years ago ... and since i'd like about a dozen copies for presents as the original printing had much fine detail and even maps of fincas near our current friends, anything i can do to stimulate demand would help -g- ... the book would be interesting even without an interest in the area imho, he's a writer for sure ... there's a passage where he's getting off a coastal steamer at the mouth of the Grijalba the day after the nationalisation of Pemex is announced, and bales of obviously old and dusty propaganda leaflets supporting the nationalisation are being offloaded into trucks at the same time ... and he has a way of expressing life with mules that is amusing ... it's a good book.

I don't think Tazio is anti- anything, except maybe anti-jerk ... fwiw ... cheers

Are you anti-Catholic or anti-Christian? You seem to confuse the two into one little ball of self-loathing.

None of the above. I do not confuse anything, sh*t is the same, regardless whose is it, they still come out of the arse

Jesus said when the salt loses flavor spit it out, there is still a real church out there, enjoy the links...

My Uncle Gonzo told me to tell you that you should go preach to the pigs, they probably love the salty mud of your cr*ap.

_____________

Church: A place in which gentlemen who have never been to Heaven brag about it to people who will never get there.

Shave a gorilla and it would be almost impossible, at twenty paces, to distinguish him from a heavyweight champion of the world. Skin a chimpanzee, and it would take an autopsy to prove he was not a theologian.

Save your idiocy for somebody else. I do not attempt for you to think the way I do, therefore, simply do the same, don't preach to me.
