Elmer,

Sanders is a hero. Barrett is a goat.

Deal with it.

Hello Elmer,

Re: A fab takes about 18 months to bring online. Fab30 took 3 years 8 months. I find it hard to credit Jerry for good timing. Lucky??? Unlucky??? The American commanders asked themselves that question after the battle of Midway but it turned the war. Who's to say?

The victor in military conflict is the one who made the fewest mistakes. Both sides make plenty of mistakes but one side generally makes fewer and emerges as the "winner". I don't think it's any different in business. The damning thing about both war and business is that it's not until after the conflict that a course of action (or inaction) can be effectively judged to be a mistake.

BTW, I posted last night that the highest speed Intel machine I saw at Best Buy was a 750 MHz. My wife of many fine years said she had seen it, I did not. My wife further informs me this morning the that Intel machine was a 700 MHz, NOT a 750 MHz. She also was surprised that there was no 733 MHz or higher available from Intel.

AMD is now in an excellent position to capitalize on strong worldwide processor demand while Intel continues to fumble. The final outcome? STAY TOONED (tm-DARBES)...
