Life, drop by the 50% Gains thread, which is currently on the Hot Topics list. Check out the 18,000 posts there in the three years I have hosted it, and draw your own conclusions about how I get along with others on SI. The thread has lasted that long because it has a certain atmosphere.

I end up in tussles here because I post, but I don't go along with the local orthodoxy that tech is a bubble, tech is a tulip and anyone who invests in it as a dimwitted bubblehead doomed to poverty.

I don't happen to agree with that. And I make the case why. This latest series started with an assertion that power failures would hurt online companies - I disagreed. Then Tommaso basically said that tech is not responsible for food, power or transportation. I disagreed again.

I'm sorry it rubbed you the wrong way.

In fact, if it was ONLY about making money I would never post a word on SI. But check out the 50% Gains thread and decide for yourself.

Regards.
