OT, kash, re:Del Mar Del Mar area seems nice and has good schools.

New homes seem to be running 700-800K does that seem reasonable

I couldn't afford Del Mar, but if I could, it would be numero uno in my book. The view of the blue-green ocean as you enter Del Mar from the East is breathtaking. If your jaw doesn't drop, you're not alive. In fact I went to the beach there with my brother who was visiting two weeks ago. Water temp was 67.2 and the air 70 and sunny. I returned there yesterday with my dog -- there's a beach at the northern end which allows canines without leashes over a quarter mile stretch.

The community I live in is about 12 mi East and 20 minutes away but it has about half the real estate prices as Del Mar.

Kash,

My friend lives in Del Mar...its really beautiful. I think it may eventually have a similiar reputation as LaJolla.
