I've seen such occurrences frequently lately. A 100 or 200 share trade out of the blue, well afterhours.

Then the next day, the stock opens up at the "real" closing price, showing a nice red down $1. Thus giving the illusion of weakness.

Its someones attempt at keeping the price down. In my opinion.

I saw it happen to SCH first about 2 months ago. Only it was 100 shares traded up $2. Next day all the talking heads on CNBS were reporting how SCH was weak, down $2.

It's called "painting the tape" intended to get the small investor to buy and sell at the most inopportune time, IMHO. The CS market makers have been doing it ever since I started following this stock over a year ago and probably before.
