>>the dummies hate the bears not the crooks.go figure.<< bill, i think your statement explains why these folks hate bears. pssst - the key word starts w/ a "d" ;-) i don't think gtw is scamming the books in an illegal manner. i do think they pay their accountants lots of money to push the law to the creative limit - as is more the norm today than ever before. so, you are right when you say they are cooking the books by pushing the limits of the law and the bulls are right that they aren't doing anything "wrong" - defined by lawbreaking. the problem is that cooking books (in the legal sense) only gets one so far b4 the biz prospects must take over. nobody cares in this bubble as the monkey w/ the buy button folks KNOW stocks ONLY go UP. ;-) heck, even alan.com uses hedonic pricing to manipulate gdp growth higher by 100% and to suppress inflation. its the zitgeist of this era...
