Bob, thanks for the informative response.

I have been thinking (I probably still do) that a 193nm ArF source and resist is necessary for true 0.13, and of course that is only the front end. Those will not be available till early 2001.

Also AMD has told us that the upgrade to 0.13 will happen next year. I think the expectation of 0.13 process by AMD is similar to the expectation of 1.X GHz speed grade for the T-Bird. AMD tells us over and over what their expectation is, yet some of us expect it to be other wise.
