Mark and Biggie,

In DOS, type DIR>prn if you want to print the listing, or DIR>filenameif you want to put it into a text file.

The new file will end up in the directory you were in for your DOS window. I just verified that it would work and it put a file I named dirlist in my windows directory>

and edit: you can then use a spreadsheet program (I use Excel) to open that file. If you choose "tab delimited" it may make a nice neat columnar listing for you.
