Definitely ... the word applies imho ... an old neighbour here used to distribute The Daily Worker [or whatever it was called, the newspaper of the communist party of Canada .. except it was more like twice a month, not daily] ... he might just as well have been a pentecostal or a mormon .. the commies got to him first i guess, in the early 30s ... to a lot of the young then it looked like the coming thing and a good idea ... there are in M‚xico many refugees from the very socialistic losing side of the spanish civil war ... they had dozens of bookstores/reading rooms in el DF ... there are now thousands of used copies of 'Mi Lucha' available [Mein Kampf] ... and Das Kapital, many others ... Trotsky of course fled there ... yes, i would call it a religion, it had a religious art all its own, Rivera, Siquieros ...

So you know Molly McGuire's, do you ... small world ... somewhere in the bathroom [here on the Wet Coast 5000 km from Montreal] i have a Canadian Geographic magazine with an article on Ste Catharine's ... that end of it has changed a lot i think ... the Forum may have been condemned, i'm not sure, haven't been there for years ... Vince will know ... the death of Maurice Richard a couple of weeks ago was important to canadians across the country ... it brought a lot of that back.

Wait a minute. Are you guys telling me that, when I fill out a form that asks for religion, I can fill in secular humanist or libertarian or environmentalist? Surely not. Communism may be a belief system with many of the same characteristics as religions, but any good commie would you punch you in the snoot for calling him religious.
