Re: Larry Woods hammers away at the bullish belief that Intel (INTC:Nasdaq - news - boards) eventually will incorporate Rambus' memory technology into its chips. "Put bluntly," he says, "Intel is no longer strong enough, or appropriately positioned enough, to pull this off. Consequently, we expect a quick divorce once Intel dumps its Rambus stock and without the backing of Intel, Rambus is toast."

Ted,

I really hope this isn't true. I like the Rambus/Intel combination. If anything, I'd like a messy 2 year divorce.

Intel leaving Rambus would be like a punch to the jaw. I like Rambus. If that move was combined with changes in Intel management that would be like a kick to the groin. I like the Intel management. If they have to leave Rambus, at least leave the guys in charge that made the decision to go with Rambus in the first place.
