Could you expand on the elements of causality implicit in your gold/MSFT correlation?

LOL. There is none I can think of, but I noticed Gates diversifying into Silver a little while back. -g-

Sure, as you know I believe the U.S. equity markets have been a 'bubble'. So, I own very few stocks, especially those with the highest amount of optimism priced in... various large cap tech stocks including of course MSFT. Now, since we are in a bubble, and it appears to be bursting [time will tell], I believe some investors will flee to gold and gold stocks, which it just so happends are also so out of favor that they are low risk in any case... so you don't need many if any investors to move into the sector to make for nice returns... incase you haven't noticed it's been a nice year so far for gold sector vs others.
