Do you have entry points defined, and stocks selected that you'd like to buy as the market descends?

Everything you say makes sense in the perspective of the long bull market. You couldn't go wrong "buying the dips" or stepping in to buy something that was dropped like a hot potato and was temporarily undervalued, but likely to recover.

If this really is the beginning of a long, grinding bear market, what's your hurry?

If you're a trader, the person with the best track record on SI is Ground Zero, IMO, but he doesn't trade stocks, only futures.
