TheKelster: Well I noticed your longer term charts, the monthly COMPX comes to mind....it was semi-log. Without the semi-log scale you loose the longer-term trading channels. Some of those channels I have been posting for many months now. Also, I find that in semi-log scale, contracting price action whether rising or falling becomes more obvious. IE: Rising or falling wedges.

And, when looking at charts close up there is little difference between semi-log or linear, unless of course there is some dramatic price action going on...<g>

Bottom line, use what works best for you...Nice charts, thanks for the contributions to MDD!
