I'm stumped on that one. But continuing in the Spoonful vein, another similar-sounding group (in fact, their first hit was a Spoonful song)

Dennis - Great hint - "Sit Down, I Think I Love You" fits the title letters and it was written by Steven Stills (I think). Yet I have no idea who had a hit with it.
