Patience, rome wasnt built in a day. This is option selling sure and simple. If CPI or Alan add some juice could acelerate. However Market will not start next leg until July. Meanwhille JDSU, QCOM, NOK and others are up despite carnage.

I disagree. There are only three things holding up this market. Intel, GE, and ... ok, there are TWO things holding up this market.

It doesnt matter what the rest of the market does as long as people can put billions and billions of scared money into those two issues and not worry about losing a dime.

Without those two generals going down, everything else is just noise.

Alcoa is the shining star in the DJII today, its 8-point gain is like 40 DJII points.

FWIW, Dung and DJII dropped pretty much in tandem, but Dung isn't playing along with the effort to keep DJII above 10600.

(edit at 12:37 -- SPX isn't playing along either. today's objective: save DJII 10600 at all costs. we'll make another run for the lows in SPX and Dung by the end of the day IMO.)
