They've been profiled all of the place these past few weeks. Namely on CNBC. Lots of good news coming out of their camp, but I do have to agree with one of the earlier posts about the reliability of business deals with China. I suppose they could back out at any time. This company is a buy in my opinion.

In a separate development, Unicom's parent company, China United Telecommunications Corp., confirmed that it will use a next-generation technology supplied by San Diego-based Qualcomm Corp. called CDMA2000, said the company's chairman, Yang Xianzu. Over the past few weeks, Qualcomm's stock has fallen dramatically as news leaked out about Unicom's plans not to use the currently available version of the technology.

Mr. Yang said Unicom's parent company would develop a test network next year using Qualcomm's product, and that later the listed company "will have the option to acquire that network from the parent," although this will most likely require government approval.
