What makes you think it would be any different? Fact is that it might be faster. If AMD's chipsets are done on gatearrays then the TPT could be a few weeks shorter.

Almost all socketed parts have roughly the same leadtime - about 8-10 weeks. The incremental process steps in one process versus the other is typically not that significant.

A streamlined flow would take about 6-8 weeks for fab, 1-2 weeks for assembly and 1-2 weeks for test and transit. I have seen things as fast as 8 weeks and as slow as 12 weeks for the same part depending on the loading at fab, packaging and test.
