Funny thing, Steve. It's probably been noted here, but I just noticed reading Anand's computex report that Via was expecting to ship a p6 DDR chipset before an Athlon version. A backdoor deal by Intel there is not out of the question, I 'd say, although to be fair P6 is a bigger market, DDR probably needs it to succeed, and Intel is leaving the door wide open with its Rambus, er, encumberance. Personally, I'd like to see Rambus sue Intel over this, but that would be too entertaining.

Cheers, Dan.
