The indexes aren't telling the real story. This is starting to look like last April again. They are taking them out one at a time and shooting them. Today they rallied SUNW and a few others hard near the close to cover up what they were doing to CTXS, HLIT, CA, NTAP, ICGE, CMGI, RFMD etc. The B2Bs got hit too.

They are talking on the news about gas prices in the midwest but not mentioning the oil future prices today. They are wondering who to blame, the government, the gas companies etc. I guess as usual they won't blame the city dwelling never leave the paved road preppies that feel the need to buy the biggest most polluting gas hogging SUVs just because it is considered the "in thing" to drive to the supermarket. Kind of like my father never hugged me so it isn't my fault I gunned down 50 nuns in the street type thing. -gggg-

PS - What was up with AA all day? Every quote I ran on it today showed it at 28, off 28 points so I figured it was a split that hadn't been updated yet. Now the CNN ticker is showing it at 58 up 2 points. I will have to check around again. Somebody must be wrong.

Nasty close but no volume and the weak volume seemed to drain as the day wore on.

Good Luck,

Lee
