A bit of poetic justice- CTXS President Mark B. Templeton (probably the one to blame for the inept handling of this affair) has a bunch of options priced from $19.66 to $25.55.
I'm not angry at the missed earnings. This could happen to any company and I went into CTXS knowing that it was risky. It's the way the earnings shortfall may have been leaked in advance. I'm going to be charitable and say that this was unintentional. As soon as management knew this was happening, they should have held a press conference.
Well, at this stage worrying over sunk costs is useless, so what should we do now? In situations like this the natural human tendency is to hold, because this delays accepting full responsibility for being wrong. I'll sleep on it, but at this point I think I'll keep about half of my shares. Look at the bright side -the decision should be a bit easier now that it represents a lot smaller percentage of my portfolio than it did a week ago <<gg>>
