I think that people were expecting to hear the results of the meeting with analysts on Friday. To hear nothing at all is disappointing in the extreme. I was a buyer at 44 last week and thought my timing was quite good in light of the move to 49+. Now I'm not so sure. Either the company or a friendly analyst should say something. Otherwise you have potential buyers sitting on their hands waiting for economic and company specific news while weaker hands give up their positions. In an options expiration week, it has been my experience that a down hard day is often followed by a reversal in trend within the next day or two. So I would expect to see the market makers unload the stock they must have taken in today when the trend shifts up before the end of the week. That doesn't mean that we wont get another test of the 42-43 area before reversing. I would be surprised to see it go lower than that however. In the meantime, I'm an unhappy camper because I do not consider it "investor friendly" to say nothing after a well publicized event like that meeting with analysts. I wouldn't think that this company would have any interest in being identified with the process of selective disclosure which the SEC is trying to change. That 5 cents estimate for the June quarter has been unchanged for the last 3 months. Somehow I don't think that this will be the number however. It will be better than that IMO and I would wager that the analysts heard something about this last Friday. So why don't we know?
