David A Kincade,

My little shopping trip was very interesting. I have a few local dealers to check still, but evidently there ain't a lot of metal out there local, though the big mail order houses seem to have it of course. When I am done, I will report on the bullion coin buying prospects for an area of a few counties containing over a half million people.

Anybody with any advice feel free, I am a long out of practice at this, haven't done any buying (or selling) of coin since the mid 70's.

Picked up some silver Eagles for $8, that's almost two bucks under what mail order is at the moment. Been wanting to do this for awhile, a long while. Ever since I helped a friend load his pickup with silver coin in 1986, I couldn't help but think he wasn't wrong, just way (WAY!) early.

Now, just a feeling that it is time, but oh what a feeling, ggg.

David A Kincade,

One more note of interest and I'm done for the night. While at the bank last week the teller was separating out silver half dollars from newer base metal ones at the bank.

I asked her what she was going to do with them and she just winked!

I guess people where the money is know what to do with silver, but people on the street still don't get it, like the hapless soul who cashed in a few rolls of silver halves for face value!

(Lucky teller!!)

Best Regards,

Roebear
