Hi DRT;
Good to see you again on the board.I agree that some level of expectation had been priced into Stratic's share price vis-a-vis the Egypt deal, along with the fact that institutions were willing to take down an equity issue to support the project.

I am prepared to believe that Mr. Hugh Ross will not be willing to let this deal fully slip away until every avenue has been explored; the amount of time and energy expended by Stratic management on the deal was tremendous.If the properties in the "lost deal" don't resurface at some point in the near future, I am willing to bet that we will see other deals come out of Egypt in the near future.Stratic is focusing an intense effort to procure a deal in this country.

Once the market realizes that, we will see "speculation" once again build into the share price.

I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Len

Hi DRT;
Insightful article on the latest OPEC meetings to rein in the "bullbin crude prices":

globeinvestor.com

Here is a short excerpt from the article as well:

OPEC is now in the driver's seat, and well positioned to enjoy high prices for some period of time if it can continue to restrain output," ARC said in a new report.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's oil and gas index rose 110.78 points yesterday to 7,604.05, up 30 per cent so far this year. Yesterday's top gainers included Petro-Canada, Canadian Occidental Petroleum Ltd., Alberta Energy Co. Ltd. and Suncor Energy Inc., all based in Calgary.

For investors wondering whether they've missed out on the energy rally, ARC said oil and gas shares on the TSE have yet to reflect the prospect of continued strength in oil and natural gas prices.

Between now and year-end we should begin to see much higher valuations priced into these oil and gas producers. Senior as well as junior companies in the oil patch should see much higher share price appreciation.
