History never repeats itself. As Schlomo Maital said, quoting Paul Valery, some 25 years ago, history is the
science of what does not repeat itself. It is not predictable like physical laws or like patterns of human behavior.<<<<<

but then there is Marke Twain, who sezs, history never repeats itself exactly, but it rhymes.

and as homo sapiens are an extension of nature and natural order, which has many repetitive cycles, like seasons, day/nite, etc. ONLY a fool would believe that this natural cycle has been somehow been interrupted by yet another technology boom, there have been many of them all thru history.

the main question is how far along we are in summer or fall.
