Thanks, and yes timing is everything...why do you think Scumbria has been moaning about AG for? AMD finally get's it together and we might have to induce a recession. Talk about bad luck...
Fortunately, AMDs with strong earnings growth can buck the FED but it's a lot harder to pick stocks in a rising interest rate environment nor will they go up as far.

All this goes back to what they used to teach about investments in business school, "top down" investing.
Basically pick the big picture first (general market scene, interest rate scenario etc.), then the hot sector, then the best stock in the hot sector. Right now we have 2 out of 3...(the last two) and "2 outta 3 ain't bad"...as the Meatloaf song goes...

But where will AMD be when the general market kicks in positively? Will 2 (sector) and 3 AMD hot within the sector) still be positive...? To be continued....
