LONDON (FTMW) -- Vodafone AirTouch said it?s signed a roaming and technology deal with China Unicom as the world?s biggest cellular-phone operator seeks a presence in the booming Chinese market.

Vodafone [UK:VOD] said the two companies aim to provide global roaming services to their respective customers, while they?ll also discuss co-operation in both mobile technology and mobile operations.
